Contest Rules

The drawing must be done by hand.
The drawing must be done by a kid aged 3-16 and entered into the appropriate age category.
The drawing must have at least one horse and one nature component.
Only 1 entry per person.
Drawing has to be submitted by 11:59 PM EDT on June 4th.

Judging criteria

The beauty: does it bring any emotion to the judge?
The balance and arrangement of colors: does the judge like it?
The originality of the overall image: does it make the judge laugh or smile or think you are clever!
The effort: will the judge think you really worked hard to achieve it?

How to Draw a Horse

Step 1

First draw two light ovals with a pencil.

Step 2

Then draw light rectangles for the neck and legs.

Step 3

Now trace the outline of these shapes and erase the light marks inside.

Step 4

Add two triangles on the top of he head for the ears, and then choose a colour to draw the mane and tail.

Step 5

Add all the details you want for the horse like the eyes, nostrils, a mouth, hooves and why not a couple of spots. Voila! You have drawn a pony!.
